-Pet friendly
-Delicious pizza and hot cookies ala mode
-Very patriotic!
-Friendly staff
The only reason I didnt give it 5 is because they're overpriced. Likely taking advantage of the fact they are one of two places to eat up there, and their rent is probably sky high.
Regardless, I think its a must to eat here if youre in the mountains. -

Our adult kids and other out-of-state visitors like to stop here for the giant cookies. They're served on paper plates and fill them. As far as cookies go, they taste fine but are expensive.
In the winter, it's nice to sit inside by the fireplace. The "cabin" has a bit of a mountain lodge feel. In the summer, there is seating on the deck and in front/below the entry. It's much more peaceful in the winter, though we sometimes have made the drive up to enjoy the snow and found the Cookie Cabin closed.
In the summer, this place can get crazy. Some people make this their lunch stop since they serve pizza. There are only two other options in Summerhaven, so the line sometimes goes out the door and to the patio below. In our opinion, unless you're staying on the mountain for the rest of the day, you're better off eating when you get back to Tucson. -

Everyone was super friendly but ... the prices. Ouch! $12 for a stale cookie and ice cream. It's not to say it wasn't a yummy treat, but for $12 that cookie better be the size of my toddler.
The place smelled amazing and we saw some other people eating really tasty looking pizza.
We were the only ones in line when we ordered so there was no wait, and eating on the porch was really charming.
I think what Summerhaven needs most, is another cute little place like this to help curb the price gouging. -

Great stop after hiking on Mt. Lemmon with our dogs. The patio is pet-friendly and there were several dogs enjoying the lazy day when we arrived to grab some grub.
My husband and I both grabbed a half slice of pepperoni pizza ($4) which are basically the side of a normal slice of pizza. Pizza was a 6/10 on my scale and a bit pricey in my opinion; but the convenience makes it worth it. And who can turn down pizza and cookies after a long day of hiking? -

Always happy to get a giant warm cookie here! Not much else to say other than, you need one, (or 2)!
